New year ...

Hiya bloggers,

(Ibiza, 2014 - this is me haha!)

So I know it has been a very long while since my last post, but I have from this day onwards, decided to furthermore get this blog running again! So firstly for a quick update, I am now 20 and in my final year of university studying a degree in Event Management, not long left (ahhh reality!!!!) However until I have to face the world of full time work, I'm not only studying but having fun with family friends,  I love music and music festivals, I have just reached a 2 year milestone with my lovely boyfriend and I am forever dreaming about seeing the huge wide world out there (it will happen).

This blog will primarily continue as a personal blog all about me, my everyday happenings/things/products I am loving and also I am hoping to get fit for the summer so hopefully I will be able to get documenting that for you along the way.

I hope you stay tuned!
If you also have a similar interests and blog please leave a comment, I would love to check out your blog ... I need some new sites to check out and follow :)

Peace & love ....

Nail Art Inspo!!!

Hello little blogging bunnies!

My best friend has now qualified in Gel nails and I gave her the challenge a month back of using her magic on my then, teeny tiny nails. Since having the gels and them having the taken off my nails have grown long and lovely tremendously! I have just been painting my nails with the Barry M gel finish polish with a base/top coat! Which may I say are bloody amazing!! All the colours are summery and pretty, as well as long lasting.

However I have just rediscovered the beauty of nail art and how funky yet pretty they can look! After stalking pinterest and weHeartit all evening I found some mega nail inspo's that I am going to practice and try out myself. In which I am hoping in no time I will be a nail art pro .. haha syc. I am very impatient and clumsy so this could be rather interesting for me.

This first picture above I instantly fell in LOVE with, black nails with cute little daisies painted on.
Edgy with the dark base but girly and summery with the pretty floral pattern. This is a MUST try!

This picture is awesome showing a tutorial of this nail design in nine (hopefully) easy steps. I am loving the ombre/dip dye effect of the two colors at the start. The black zig zag effect adds a cool, quirky feel to the nail design making them even more eye catching! These nails are bright and summery and perfect for my Ibiza holiday!!

Now I am loving these nails 100%!! I love the pastel color choices made and the gold lines creating shape effects. They look sophisticated, everyday perfect for night or day time events. Very chic and classy, not too in your face but defo enough to get them heads turning! A must try for work or nights out with the girls  for sure!

These are just a few of the many found, Keep an eye out for my attempts as well as all the brilliant inspo available on the big wide web! Thanks for reading!!

topshop #1

topshop #1

So I've lately been back on the polyvore scene,  this is my latest set all from Topshop as you can see! Love all of it if I do say so myself, the blue palm print skort especially caught my eye as I most certainly love a skort! The black seam strappy bralet is simple and goes perfectly without taking away from the loud print! Plus I adore the thick dark black 2 part platform shoes, to die for!!! P.s sunglasses from Nordstrom, will definitely be purchasing!!

Facial Faves!

My beauty product shelves in my wardrobe have been getting out of control, so it was out with the old and in with the new. Strictly starting a fresh plus I managed to barter this really cute wicker basket off of my mum, which was from Next, £6 bargain!!! It fits perfectly in my shelf and all my products fit nicely in there too! This has my cleansers, facial wipes, eye make up remover, day/night creams and all sorts of my daily essentials!

I have recently been avoiding using make up wipes as I feel using daily had begun to dry my skin out and I just felt gross using them! I have found a wonderful alternative, first of all Nivea 2 in 1 Cleanser&Toner which I apply all over the face and remove with cotton pads. It works wonders and removes all make up, or even on a fresh plain face makes me feel so refreshed and clean! Its cheap and affordable and along with Nivea's Daily Essential range there are also Day and Night creams that have a great effect after cleansing and toning!! The night cream is quite thick however apply a nice layer and I guarentee your skin will be silky soft and refreshed!

I have also been trying out Simple's eye make up remover which I got from Boots! Wow! It's an amazing remover! Once applied to a pad and swiped over the eye a couple of times the eye make up comes off immediately!! It also does NOT sting which with my usual bad luck of getting make up remover in my eye can KILL! But this does not at all, its a nice light weight remover that works wonders.

Try out the products and hopefully you get the same results! Let me know if you have any particular fave skin regimes!!

Love Alio! xoxo

Weekend wonders ...

So whilst I should be making a start to this finance report ... I am too busy in watching Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 and thinking about the crazy fabulous weekend I have spent with my boyfriend, Christopher.

It was our one year anniversary together, actually it would be 1 year, 4 months roughly but it was a complicated situation back then, so here it is how it is! We got a hotel in Vauxhall, LDN to stay over on Saturday night, because we was going to see Swedish House Mafia member Sebastian Ingrosso live at o2 Brixton Academy!
The venue is my fave anyway, and to be able to see Seb again was even more exciting. We made friends with a group of boys, who them and Chris then became my guards creating a barrier around me from all the gigantic people haha. I mean I cant say I was sober, but I just felt on top of the world, my boyfriend is genuinely my best friend anyway we always go to raves together anyway, it is just like going out with my best friend, never any awkward moments. We got in around 4am but carried on drinking etc, just chatting and stuff ... we had to check out by 11am so we was mega tired but just wanted to get home asap to sleep!!

If you have the chance to see Seb, I strongly advise it because WOW I cannot begin to explain how amazing he was!!!

Miley talk

So as everyone in the whole universe knows ... Miley Cyrus has grown up! Big whoooop!
It is really beginning to do my head in the way people are reacting to her!
Yes the ex disney star has done some differrent performances to what she would have done many years ago in her sparkly clothes and blonde wig posing as Hannah Montana; but she IS an adult now!

I don't know about you but I have most certainly used the line "mum im not a baby"  or something along them lines; its exactly the same thing but on a much bigger scale, she has the whole world watching in closely on her life with a magnify glass waiting for the tinest of flaws to happen.

She is a young human being, has feelings but to put it straight she obviously does not care in the slightest shes having fun, that is all that matters!!
I just cannot get my head around all this bad press she has been receving. Don't get me wrong I don't think she has helped herself out in the bestest way i.e glamorising drugs - or not even that but smoking a joint on tv or whatever she done BUT she done it ... perhaps she learnt, or perhaps she didn't but I really think people should move on with their lives.

Food for thought

late h-a-l-l-o-w-e-e-n

Soooo as I am behind a little on posts, thought I would update a little on more recent events! So the other week after work me and the girls decided to grace Stevenage old town i.e cinnnna's with our presence!

I saw a little of girls tweeting slating other girls Halloween costumes, so to give them a little more fuel I dressed up as the stereotypical kitttty kat AND PROUD! I think people should only be bitching if  they feel the need to about like slutty costumes in their lingerie but whatevs, not my problem.
But either way it was a pretty fun night, pretty busy to! We met up with some other friends and went to go Chicago's (they near enough had to drag me, i hate it) but I didn't wanna be the party pooper. Once we arrived we was welcomed by a MAHOOSIVE queue which straight away gave me the hump! A bouncer then approached us and was about to let us queue jump, got to the till and it was something stupid like £8 to get in! Straight away me and a girl I was with left haha, home it was. I was not paying that for a tiny sweatbox night club, one that I would be people watching in and moaning anyway! But it didn't matter, I had work the next day so it helped!

I really want to go America for Halloween, it just looks outta this world!
Here's some piccies!

Ibiza!

So I have become extremely bad at updating this blog I created .. BUT NOT NO MORE!

So way back in July, Me and three friends went to the party island of Ibiza for a week away!

But WOW it was the best week of my life, I had been waiting for the moment to leave for the week since way back in December 2012 when we booked it, and before I knew it the date was here!
Being my first girls holiday I was so ready to go, not no cares or worries in the world, (apart from if I packed enough or too much haha!) I was so excited for what was to come, and that it would be a great memory for the rest of my life, What a brilliant first girls holiday!

The plane journey there was a brilliant way to kick off what we was about to experience, Jade, Sammy and Katie where on one row of the plane and I was on the end of the opposite next to them. However next to me was a VERY funny guy and whom we believe was his American/Latino/German or some kind of mixed accent boyfriend/partner! But wowwwie was they funny, They had me in stitches the whole journey there, singing songs, laughing, telling jokes. Even when we was about to land one of them shouted "WOOOHOO EVERYONE WE'VE ARRIVED TO MAGALUF" they was drunk, so funny however I was worried in case one of them vommed on me, but that didn't happen, luckily!

We done so many things in that week, our hotel was lovely which was a bonus! It had two pools, the rooms was nice, its was close to everything in San Antonio but not right on the streets of people being sick or passed out on the doorstep, thankfully! The first full day we sunbathed and chilled out by the pool trying to get our tan on, to catch up with the people whom have already been here. Then we went to the west end to get our animal face/body paint done all ready for The Zoo Project! We went up the hills and to the zoo project, It was something I have never experienced before! Staff walking around on tall stilts all dressed up, dancing pandas, random dj's spread out and people dancing everywhere, pool parties, hammocks randomly set out!

We also went to see Avicii/Boat party which was all one package, the BEST day of the holiday I would say, I don't get travel sickness however I had never been on a boat before where I was constantly drinking alcohol and dancing/jumping around whilst riding the waves, So I was a little nervous however I was 100% fine! We made friends with a group of other friends whom we stayed with when we went to see Avicii. After we all got a taxi back to central San Antonio and went to some other bars/went to the beach at like 2am in the morning and all chatted and just had a laugh!

The week continued this way seeing more acts like Tinie Tempah at Ibiza Rocks, to more sunbathing, pedalo fun in the day time, to going cafe mambo and watching the sunset which was the perfect way to end our holiday. As a group of friends we had an awesome time, learnt even more about each other having to spend every hour of the day together but it was fun and I wouldn't have changed it for the world! Its an expensive place but i recommend it, or I genuinely recommend a holiday like that in any location, stay safe, have fun and you will not regret it!!!

Summer Bod, hopes, dreams and wishes!

Hey people!

So I have been a gym member since last year sometime at a little local gym in my town, It is often busy in the evening so I like to go 11am/lunch time. In 24 days I will be jetting off to the little magical party island Ibiza with some of my girl friends, which I am super excited about!

However as a girl I have obviously been a little worried about my body, so have been fully committed to the gym in order to get the results that I want in time for me and my bikini to hit the beach!! I used to THOROUGHLY DISLIKE the gym .. in other words HATE the gym, I just found it so much of an effort to get there (I was fine once there) and as soon as I would leave eat some crap to add all the pounds back on!

However now I am absolutely LOVING the gym, there is nothing better than seeing results and nothing better than having the self discipline to say NO to the bad stuff! This doesn't mean I starve myself that's even worse than eating junk, however I am now eating fruits and nutritious supplements to replace these bad foods and its tough sometimes but I treat myself too. I am not far in to my  journey and I am going to cover it all on here, firstly for myself to get my thoughts out and to track my progress but also for you all too see and hope join me!

teeny tiny reflection

So many things have changed lately, mainly all for the better however.
I have begun to realize all the genuine people in my life, others whom I have realized are not worth my time or breath anymore, If 'friends' in my life are happy enough to walk out of my life, i shall no longer chase or beg, I shall simply hold the door open for them.

Life is too short and I want to enjoy every moment of it, no drama nor negativity, I want a happy and successful life.

Another benefit, is I am really happy in a relationship with christopher(picture below). He is like my best friend and boyfriend all wrapped in to one, we do lots together, we are so similar and I love him very much, He made me happy at a time i didnt think it was possible,  the happiest ive been in a long  time.

Anyway, until next time

Turning the big 1-8!

Okay, so to pretty much each girl I know (especially in the UK) turning Eighteen is a biggie, you get to hit the clubs and dance the night away ... dur!!

I recently just had my eighteenth birthday party, and then we hit a club afterwards, It was such a great night spent with all friends and family, dancing and singing together, and all having a drink!!

I went birthday dress shopping with my mum and sissy in a little village, and we went to a little cute boutique, that had the cutest dress from a brand 'Jollie Moi' which was a black petticoat dress with floral print, and a triangular cut out back!! They didn't have a small in stock, but I knew that this was the one, so as soon as I got home I got surfing the net, and found a whole brand new stock of them on .. EBAY!! The dress was originally around £45 pound, however for the same exact brand new dress on Ebay, along with postage and packaging was ... £18!!!!! I was over the moon with that bargain, and knew it was fate, and in the heavens that I bought that dress!!!

And shoe wise, I found the cutest orange wedges from New Look, the strap had been slightly damaged  - but barely noticeable and most certainly easily fixable with a little bit of thread, however we got the price knocked down to around £13 I believe! I wanted shoes that were going to be comfy, and not too high and not too small!! These were perfect choice!!

Hope you enjoyed, and ooo you have to check out my balloon man behind me in the pic!!

Until next time girls,    - A

Prom Day!

Hello Girls!
So on Friday 11th May, we had our year 13 school leavers prom at the Novotel! We was so lucky because  the sun stayed out, and it was pretty warm!

It wasn't a typical year 11 prom, where its overly dressy, its something that most people bought dresses from the high street, in so that we could wear our outfits again!

My dress is from Delilah (£60), which I found in Topshop, Oxford St, London which is also where I found the really cute pearl/lace peter pan collar (£16) to go with it, which adds detail to the dress and makes it look more interesting! My shoes are a nude/beige with a pink tone to them, they are from Next (£28) and my nude suede clutch bag is from River Island.
